February is Responsible Pet Owner Month. This is the
month that pet owners are urged to get their pets spayed
and neutered. The Humane Society of the United States
estimates that six to eight million cats and dogs end up
in animal shelters every year. Here are a few tips… Train your
dog; this is extremely important. The Number One reason
for dogs ending up in shelters is behavior problems. By
training and socializing your dog you can greatly reduce
the chances of your dog ever getting lost or ending up
in a shelter. Feed your pet a well-balanced and
nutritious diet. Clean up after your dog. Groom your dog
on a regular pet plenty of exercise and feed a proper
diet to protect against various diseases. Let your dog
live in the house with you. You need to provide shelter
for your dog. Make sure your pet has up-to-date
identification tags on his collar. |

Senator Harry Reid
Yucca Mountain
Today
(February 25)
was an extremely important day in our fight against the proposed nuclear waste
dump at Yucca Mountain. In his budget request for 2010, President Obama will
announce plans to devise a new strategy to find another solution to deal with
the nation’s nuclear waste that does not include storing it in Nevada. |

Last Wednesday,
I had the honor of addressing both houses of Nevada’s Legislature. I told them
that the Economic Recovery and Reinvestment Act is expected to create 34,000
jobs in our state, 90 percent of them in the private sector....... |

Celebrities Endorse PharmaCom
BioVet
It's easy to see why celebrities endorse
PharmaCom BioVet for being "a union of compassion and
technology." After the deaths of three of their beloved
Siberian Huskies, the Bertholds, the co-founders, vowed:
"We would spend the rest of our lives for the sake of
our living dogs - in addition to all other dogs -
attempting to find better, improved cancer treatments."......……
