Cjay is a two-time breast cancer survivor who is learning on a daily
basis to Love and Appreciate life and all of the joy that it brings. She
was born in Long Beach, California, but lived all of her adult life in
Los Angeles, California, where she worked as a nurse with Kaiser
Permanente until her retirement in 1989.
After living the medical field, Cjay started a new career in sales. She
worked as a Pre-need counselor for a local Los Angeles cemetery, and in
1994 a job promotion and transfer sent her to Greensboro NC where she
benchmarked and instituted the Inside Sales division for Levolor Home
Fashions, making her the first African American Sales Manager for the
company. She lived in NC for 5 years before moving to Las Vegas in 1999.
She has worked in the mortgage industry for 11 years as a Mortgage
Compliance Officer, Loan Counselor and Underwriter. She is now working
as a private consultant on various projects, including an upcoming
feature Sci-Fi film.
Cjay has become a shameless political JUNKIE and has been blogging for a
while. Cjay will share her ideas, observations and philosophies from a
