Outdoors Month -
The Great Outdoors Month (June),
promotes outdoor recreation that is a pervasive force in
America, enjoyed by nearly every one of us and providing mental,
physical, economic and social benefits. Recreation ranges from
enjoyment of wildlife viewing to adventure sports like rock climbing
and OHV driving and is a $250 billion per annum industry. June is
an especially active time for recreation in America, with millions
of us commencing summertime activities and hundreds of annual events
and meetings ranging from National Trails Day to National Boating
and Fishing Week, National Family Recreation Week to National Clean
Beaches Week. Recognition of the value of recreation and the
importance of June as a time of recreation activity prompted
Presidential designation of June as Great Outdoors Month for the
first time in 2004. In Las Vegas you may want to consider visiting
the Valley of Fire, Lake Mead, Grand Canyon or the many other great
out venues around the valley. |

"Cowboys for Cancer" Benefit Concert |

 In
an effort to raise funds for cancer survivors
and bring awareness to rehabilitation and
wellness programs, a group of Las Vegas country
artists have come together as “Cowboys for
Cancer” to perform a benefit concert on Sunday,
June 28 at Club Madrid inside Sunset Station.
Proceeds will benefit Vance Davenport and The
Caring Place. “Cowboys for Cancer” features some
of the Valley’s hottest country acts under one
roof, including: Scotty Alexander, The Randy
Anderson Band, Desert Outlaws, John Encinio,
Lefty Lucy Band, Tony Marques, Pam Matteson,
comedienne, Mark O’ Toole, Third Town and
WolfCreek “Cowboys for Cancer” is on Sunday,
June 28, 2009, starting at 4 p.m. at Club Madrid
inside Sunset Station. Tickets for the “Cowboys
for Cancer” benefit concert are on sale now and
can be purchased at any Station Casinos Rewards
Center, The Fiesta's Amigo Clubs, online at
www.stationcasinos.com or by phone at
702-547-5300. General admission tickets are $20
and 100 percent of the proceeds will be split
between the Davenport family and The Caring
Place. VIP booths are available for $150 and
seat up to four people.

From 5 pm-5:30 pm we will have causal networking
At 5:30 pm there will be a table with chairs on
each side
(so when you sit down, you will be facing
someone across the table.) You will have 5 minutes
(2½ minutes each) to talk to that person, getting to know them and their
business. Once your 5 minutes is up, a bell will
ring, and one side of the table will rotate to
the next person
(so you are now sitting in front of a new person).
You will have 5 minutes with the new person, and
then repeat the process for an hour!! So... if
we do this for an hour, you will walk away with
a MINIMUM of 12 business cards!!!
