planting and care. Nevada’s State Arbor Dayis the last Friday of April, and Nevada’s
State trees are the Singleleaf Pinon and Bristlecone
Pine.

25th Anniversary of Ash Meadows

Breathtaking
Ash Meadows National Wildlife Refuge, located
about 90 minutes outside of Las Vegas, is a
desert oasis with spring-fed wetlands that have
been witness to a lot of history and are home to
unique plants and wildlife. This year Ash
Meadows is celebrating its 25th anniversary of
restoration of the fish, wildlife, and plant
resources and their habitats, many of which are
found nowhere else in the world! Help them
celebrate by joining in activities for the whole
family, meet the other local organizations who
help them work towards their mission, and meet
Puddles, the Blue Goose mascot of the National
Wildlife Refuge System.
