global warming has been chosen as the
winning Feedback for March. It would

Dr. David Hassenzahl, the Chair of the
Environment Studies Department at UNLV
for him to present to a student of his
choosing who is a member of
Sierra Student Coalition (S.S.C.), a student organization at UNLV that focuses on environmental
issues facing S. Nevada and the world.
Dr. David Hassenzahl has chosen Andrea Redmond and her gift

The Darin Lifetime Group will host an
afternoon concert on Sunday, May 4 at
the Alexis Park Resort benefiting
Children’s Heart Foundation, a
Nevada-based non-profit that lends
support to children and families who
suffer or are affected by heart
problems. Bobby Darin’s memorial
organization hosts the event each year
consisting of family, friends, and fans
gathering to celebrate and remember the
former musician’s career and
life. Attending this year’s event
will be former Bobby Darin
Musicians Billy McCubbin, Terry Kellman
and others to share in Darin’s music and
memories. The event will begin at 2 p.m.

Walk for Multiple Sclerosis |

From a local participant:
The
annual Walk for Multiple Sclerosis
happens next month here in Las Vegas.
We’re planning on participating again
this year and we are asking you to join
us in the fight against MS by making a
contribution to support our efforts. The
National MS Society is dedicated to
ending the devastating effects of MS.
Their primary mission is finding a cure
for the almost half million Americans
who are living with the disease.
We believe in the work they do and have
participated in the annual walk events
for about 15 years. We know your
support can and will make a difference
in their lives.
Please help by making a donation - large
or small - to fight MS. Whatever you can
give will help! We greatly appreciate
your support. And -- if your schedule
permits -- come join Rick and Gail Ream
when they take their MS Walk on Saturday
morning, May 10, 2008.

Tomorrow is one of my favorite
days of the year, Kentucky Derby
Day! In a tough
handicapping race, but a great
wagering race, the "hot" horse
Big Brown is vunerable, because
of his wide draw and the fact
that he has only had 3 races....
so I am going to "splash around"
in the exotics, (which very
often pay BIG because of the
large fields and "jillions" of
dollars in each pool) #10
Colonel John, #12 Smooth Air,
#14 Monba and #19 Gayego. I hope
we have the same success as we
had with the Star Picks in the
NFL season and the Pos. 5 during
college hoops. May all photo
finishes go your way.
