Longtime world-class juggler, Nino Frediani, has opened an
Italian eatery in Henderson, Nev., with his musician partner, Enriqo.
Frediani, 68, recently returned from Japan and has traveled
the world performing. He receives tremendous press noting his age and his
incredible performance ability. He has performed in many productions, including
City Lights and on luxury cruise liners.
While traveling, he met executive chef Alfredo Modica on a
cruise ship. Italian-born Modica creates authentic Italian cuisine and has
worked on Princess Cruise Lines for ten years.
Frediani’s Ristorante and Pizzeria is located at 289 N.
Green Valley Parkway. It is a brightly decorated, cozy eatery with two patios
for the comfort of smokers and smoke-free diners.
My guests and I started our meals with Hearts of Palm Salad
with enticing additions of sliced pears, arugula, artichokes, roma tomatoes,
topped with Grana Padano sliced cheese, mixed with a flavorful house dressing.
It was certainly a refreshing way to start our dining journey. For those who
favor soup, I recommend the Pasta Fasol, a bean noodle soup.
My guest, Beryl Warren, savored the New Zealand Rack of
Lamb, which was served in a huge portion. Guest Mark Richards ordered Linguini
and Santa Monica Clams, which he devoured, leaving little room for dessert.
Since I am more health-conscious these days, I ordered the
Ahi Tuna served with fresh vegetables. Oh my, what a wonderful way to dine.
Frediani’s is a family-style restaurant but with some of
the best local jazz musicians playing there on the weekends.
Lunch is served from 11-2pm, Mon through Thursday and 5-10
for dinner. They are open 5-11pm for dinner on Friday and Saturday. Reservations
and take out orders, call (702) 433-1494. Tell Nino that Pete Allman sent you,
and maybe he’ll do a little table-side juggling for you. The menu prices are
moderate-plus, and CSN rates Frediani’s a 9.

My book of poetry
entitled "Messages" was inspired by my dear friends C.J. Cansler along
with Victoria Boone and Beryl Warren.
The group of poems
along with some beautiful photographs are to inspire the reader.
