Lucio
Italian Ristorante is a quiet hideaway located in The Lakes. It is the perfect
setting for romantic dinner or family gathering. The quiet yet busy restaurant
caters to families who live in the Summerlin-Lakes area but don’t want to fight
the traffic to go to the Strip.
Lucio
Peccozi, the proprietor, has had the good fortune to learn his culinary trade in
Italy, as well as being a past-manager and partner of I’lfor Naio. Today, he’s
able to guide his own destiny through owning his own restaurant.
Born in
Calabrain, Italy, Lucio knows what’s he’s talking about. “My cooking,” he says,
“Some of those dishes are my mother’s recipes. I shop around Las Vegas to obtain
the finest spices and foods, just the way we did in Italy.”
One of
his signature dishes is Penne al Saleroni, rotta (avocado) on salmon in a pink
salmon sauce. This is a delightful dish and one of my favorites.
My
guest, Beryl Warren, ordered the Risotto, another delectable dish. I would be
remiss if I did not mention the Pastieri Napolitano, a family recipe for
cheesecake that is very light, rich and flavorful.
Lucio’s
offers a moderate-price menu and prepares all food made to order. Lucio’s
Ristorante is at 8615 W. Sahara. Hours of operation are 11 to 2:30 for lunch and
4 to 10 for dinner. Call (702) 233-2859. Lucio’s Italian Ristorante earns a CSN
rating of 9-plus.

My book of poetry
entitled "Messages" was inspired by my dear friends C.J. Cansler along
with Victoria Boone and Beryl Warren.
The group of poems
along with some beautiful photographs are to inspire the reader.
