An articles and short story writer, Bea
Fogelman had always wanted to write a book that would be of interest to
thousands of people. She found the subject has been in her own "back
yard" for over twenty years!
After each performance of an impersonator show
she would watch the faces of the audience as they poured out of the
showrooms and note their appreciation and pleasure.
There are thousands of people who attend
impersonation shows every year. Many have never seen the "stars" in
person and, for a small fraction of the cost of a concert, they may
enjoy this wonderful concept of entertainment.
The book, "CopyCats" began forming on her
computer in January 1994. Interviews were the most enjoyable part of
this writing.
Bea has been
married to pharmacist, Leo Fogelman, for over fifty years.
They
reside in Las Vegas where their home is filled with friends and their
three children: Jayne Juster, Bob Fogelman (m. Lorraine) and Sherie Rae
(m. Carroll "Beav" Parker). They have seven grandchildren and six
great-grandchildren.
