What a pleasant surprise! I have known Larry G. Jones for some time, having seen him at many social and media events.  However, I never had the chance to see him perform.  This guy is a dynamite entertainer.  He has a great singing voice and he sings the major hits from different time period’s in the singing voices of the hit performers.  He also takes on the demeanor of many different impersonations. (his George W. Bush is fantastic, as with only a wig his mannerisms become George W.)His energy belies the fact that although he is a young, cute looking man, he was at death’s door at one time.  He told me he had been performing downtown for 7 years and now he is performing at the ROYAL CASINO on Convention Center Drive, just off the strip. It is a small room, however, the seats are very comfortable armchairs.  At the media night, we were also treated to the Cosmo’s Restaurant in the Royal Casino and that too was a delicious treat.  Make sure to see Larry G. Jones show that starts with a Red Skelton impersonator who opens the show for Larry.  And, treat yourself to delicious food and drinks at Cosmo’s while you are there.

The multi-talented Roslyn Kind will dazzle audiences at the CANNERY in The Club, November 14 and 15.  Lauded by critics from The London Times, New York Post, Time Magazine and the New York Times, Ms. Kind has forged a successful career in all facets of entertainment from critically acclaimed recordings to sold-out performances on Broadway and in top concert venues and nightclubs the world over. Los Angeles Times jazz writer Don Heckman once said, “Forget that Roslyn Kind is Barbra Streisand's kid sister. She's too good and too special to have to worry about comparisons.” Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.

Bette Midler appeared at KRAVE NIGHTCLUB at PLANET HOLLYWOOD  in support of Barack Obama and she was a kick.  Midler is currently starring in "The Showgirl Must Go on" at CAESARS PALACE. She has won four Grammys, four Golden Globes, a Tony award and has been nominated for two Oscars.

Did you know there is now an EROTIC HERITAGE MUSEUM in Las Vegas?  Situated on Industrial Road, patrons of the museum have the opportunity to behold and explore the vast array of socio-cultural perspectives depicting our erotic heritage, including a special emphasis on the unfolding of the American Sexual Revolution of the 20th Century.  The Museum seeks to bridge the gap between that which is commercial and often misidentified as pornographic, with that which is aesthetic, often identified as folk, pop, and fine art through a common visual language. The Museum encompasses over 24,000 square feet of permanent and featured exhibits designed to preserve wonders of the erotic imagination as depicted through the artistic expression of acts of sex and love.

Yum, Yum, Yummy!  Media was invited to the opening of Via Brasil Steakhouse at 1225 South Fort Apache Rd. and we were treated royally at this traditional authentic Brazilian “Churrascaria” (steakhouse). There is a full service bar in this 9,200 sq. ft. restaurant that has an interior inspired by Rio de Janeiro’s Copacabana Beach.  Our fantastic meal started with a gourmet salad bar with an extensive array of hot and cold dishes. At your table you have a two sided circular chip which you turn when you want more of the 14 different types of meat, poultry and fish that are carved tableside. Side dishes are put on the table and a dessert cart offers decadent desserts to choose from.  Make sure to be hungry before you go, as you will leave feeling you won’t need to eat again for a week. Quite a place!
