In 2006 ARTV attended the NAPTE Conference in Beverly Hills, to present the first-ever PREMIER ARTV AWARDS to Network Producers. Needless to say, we raised a lot of eyebrows, and many producers were curious, but did not have the slightest idea of what to do with our program…The Network consensus was too RISKY, NICHE audience, too many Awards shows, keep in touch!
The only enthusiasm was from foreign distributors from South America & Mexico.
Probably because the first Awards Production was hosted by comic CHEECH MARIN, and featured ANTHONY QUINN’S Art, with original music by JOE TORRES, Latin/Jazz Fusion band and REMY PALLACIO, who brought the house down, at the end of the show. It had a Latin theme and they loved it! Producers from BBC encouraged us to keep at it, since they are much more art oriented. TV shows cannot make money abroad until they are aired in the USA.

At least, this reaction keep us going until, we finally aired on NBC BRAVO, 10 months later.
After the recent writer’s strike in Hollywood and more & more online viewer content hitting the internet, the networks are beginning to open up to Independent filmmakers.
This year, ARTV is on A-list! I suppose A stands for ART, since we are the only programming of its kind! Original Contend is now in demand and ARTV has an archive of creative properties to entice the networks.
Audrey Roberts, will present this programming, at the LATV Festival this summer in Hollywood. We will finally face off with the Network Executives Armed with a 2 ½ hour film, ARTV AMERICA “The First Cut” depicting the making of the ART Awards, featuring 50 nominees and art celebrities from around the world. The PREMIER AWARDS at MGM GRAND TV Production and the 2nd International AWARDS in the can, we are READY for Hollywood TV producers, and film production companies.

During the September 2007 Awards Event, we did a screening at the BRENDEN Theatres, who helped support our promotional campaign! This opened up another outlet, ART Cinemas. As always, our main objective is to create more viewership, anyway we can…and the audience was extremely receptive to see art on the BIG Screens.
As I step back and take a breath, I can’t believe we have accomplished this much in
3 1/2 years of intense production. Its all experimental, therefore, the process is always changing, consuming and expensive! Such is the creative process! Audrey Roberts has convinced her long time National collectors to invest in the roll of this process. Securing over 5 million dollars in ART assets to sell, auction, or trade for advertising, production & promotional costs, we have now extended our programming to include an ART TV REALITY SHOW titled “ART STARS!
Our original content includes over 100 DVD’s of fine artists in 15 different categories and two dozen recognized AWARD Recipients to be potential contestants in the new pilot.
ARTV is maintaining the lead, in the global market for this art form, and we are now recruiting International celebrity artists to come to America and participate. This is always exciting for ARTV and our supporters; it keeps the programming fresh, original, and quite colorful. Our membership base is expanding everyday and our beautiful MUSE AWARD is now circling the globe. More than two dozen Recipients, from 4 continents will be sporting this trophy in exhibitions.
It clear that the ARTV AWARDS Brand is making history in the International ART Industry, with artists like Lorenzo Quinn, coming in from Barcelona, Spain to headline the next awards and big name celebrities from the music and film industry offering support.
In the meantime, we’re in a HOLLYWOOD state of mind! Roll over OSCAR the MUSE is coming, and the fine artists are taking it to the SCREENS!
DAN CUTFORD, Producer of TOP CHEF and PROJECT RUNWAY, on NBC BRAVO, has also picked up on the momentum. He has recently announced a production of an ART REALITY TV Show, with SARAH JESSICA PARKER, as Executive Producer. Although, ARTV gave them the concept, we welcome the competition, and pray for the success of the shows. It’s only a matter of time, and most importantly, its about educating the public and networks, in the area of culture, that has not really been exposed.
The 2007 ARTV AWARDS Event was a real mixture of arts & entertainment! A & E
was the key to finally making this programming viable for a larger audience. Past art programs left out the entertainment value, and were perceived as boring to the general public. Big LUV and thanks to the Las Vegas performers, that came out to help make this a truly entertaining experience, for the incredible mixture of guests that attended. All the VCO contributors, journalists, and Radio broadcasters that helped to promote this platform, was truly appreciated.
Clint Holmes, Gennifer Flowers, Tony Sacca, Lark Williams and of course, John Daly, who presented awards, and entertained the crowd, exhibited the kind of support for the fine artists, that made this show what it is supposed to be about! Bravo!
Since Hollywood has been coming to Vegas, ARTV will bring a bit of VEGAS to Hollywood!
“What we do today, creates tomorrow!”
ARTPEACE!
