During a recent convention of Celebrity Impersonators held in Las Vegas at the Imperial Palace Hotel, Sherie Rae Parker, Bette Midler tribute artist, was presented with three trophies for the Best Singer Tribute Performer, the Most Professional Tribute Artist and for Lifetime Achievement.

A resident of Las Vegas, Sherie Rae first appeared in the original cast of “Legends in Concert” in 1983 as Janis Joplin. During the 18 years she remained in the cast, Bette Midler became her primary role, a popular character role that has taken her to showrooms around the world.

As she celebrates 25 years as a Celebrity Impersonator, Parker is often asked if she ever thought of performing as herself in her own voice. She replies, “I always knew I would grow up to be somebody.  Who knew I would grow up as somebody else?”

She enjoys performing as Bette Midler. Until June 23 she is on stage in Berlin, Germany, in the show, “Stars in Concert” produced by the renown Bernhard Kurz.

Sherie Rae is married to Beav Parker, a Ringo Starr tribute artist who performs with Beatlemania groups.  Their son is a student at a Las Vegas charter school. She remarks, “I have a family, our home and a responsible neighborhood…everything I love…and a wonderful job… performing as my favorite celebrity, Bette Midler.  I am honored by the awards.”

Sherie Rae Parker is a member of the Entertainment Network located in the Centennial Hills area of Las Vegas, focused on referrals of talent to agents and producers for their shows and events around the world.
